Rubus ursinus
A cross between a Blackberry and a Loganberry. This is a vigorous growing plant producing an abundance of purple to black berries. They are very sweet and juicy. Used for fresh fruit, jams and baking.
Maturity: December to January
Self pollianting
Care: Plant in a well drained sunny position with well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until vine is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears in Spring. New canes produce next season's fruit.
