Spinach oleracea
Spinach is an upright leaf vegetable which produces dark green, edible leaves. It can be planted throughout the year for seasonal picking. Summer varieties prefer some shade, while winter varieties do best in full sun.
Position: Full sun.
Spacing: 8-10cm apart.
Harvest: 5-8 weeks.
Planting Guide: Cultivate area to a depth of 15cm. Mix in fertiliser at recommended rates. If planting into a container or pot, use a good quality commercial potting mix.
