An early heading selection of this increasingly popular vegetable. Firm red heads with attractive white veins. Can also be sown and left unthinned for 'salad leaves' adding zest and a hint of bitterness to the mixed salad.
| How To Grow |
Sow 6mm (quarter-inch) deep in trays of seed compost. Transplant when seedlings are large enough to handle, spacing 30cm (12in) between plants and rows. Keep well watered and feed with complete fertiliser. |
