Prunus salicina Mariposa
Large heart shaped blood plum, dark red skin with some spotting, deep red juicy sweet flesh with excellent flavour. Used for fresh fruit, preserves, jam and juices - Semi freestone.
Maturity: Late January - Early February (Mid season).
Suggested pollinators: Narrabeen, Santa Rosa, Satsuma.
Tree care: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil leve. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
