Norway Spruce
This spruce is the most popular plant to use as a living Christmas Tree.
In the garden, it forms a lovely specimen tree with dark green foliage and a neat pyramidal shape.
It makes an elegant conifer lawn specimen.
Position: Full sun
Height: grows to 10m (current height 50cm tall).
Width: grows to 5m.
Soil: Well drained
Watering: Water moderately
Fertilising: Fertiliser after planting and again after new growth.
Use: Ideal for parks and larger gardens.
Growing tip: Plant in well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is established.
