Brassica oleacea var. acephala
A highly nutritious close relative of the cabbage. This variety is ornamental as well as producing long, very dark green leaves with a crinkled or blister-like texture.
A good source of fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Use the tasty leaves in salads, hot dishes and soups.
Grow in a sunny position in moist, well drained soil. Enrich soil with compost or a complete fertiliser.
