Queensland Bottle Tree
An unusual plant that has a distinctive bottle shaped trunk that becomes more pronounced as the tree ages. Large woody seed pods follow the small flowers. A semi deciduous tough tree that flowers in late spring.
An unusual yet interesting specimen tree for lawns or large park-like gardens. Young plants may be used as a container plant for outdoor use.
Prefers a sunny, open position in well drained soil. Fertilise in spring. Mulching will help to supress weeds and conserve soil moisture.
