Blue Heeler is a versatile, compact form of Alyogyne that's a perfect size for today's smaller gardens. Striking individual dark purple flowers have a short life, however, the plant repeat blooms for many months in warmer weather. Blue Heelers small leaves are well adapted to handle salty wind and drought conditions.
Requires well-drained soil and a full sun position. Best suited to garden planting, however will perform in pots provided quality potting mix is used and the soil remains moist. Needs little attention other than a light trim to desired shape. The plant responds to a twice-annual application of general purpose, controlled release fertiliser.
