Origanum vulgare
A perennial green leafy herb producing white/pinkish flowers in Spring to Summer. Requires a sunny well drained position and will survive dry conditions.
Position: Full sun.
Height: 25cm.
Harvest: All year round. Continuous harvesting of young tips will encourage compact growth. Cut back hard early Spring if it becomes untidy. Can be used fresh or dried for later use.
Uses: An excellent addition to roast lamb and chicken, marinades, gravies, tomato sauces, pasta dishes, salad and vegetable dressings.
