Asparagus officinalis ‘Precoc D’Argenteuil’
Despite being new to the Australian market this is one of the worlds oldest varieties of Asparagus dating back to France in the 1860’s. It produces thick rose purple spears that are harvestable in two rather than normal three years.
Generous applications of fertiliser from spring through to late autumn will keep it cropping well. Prune to the ground in late autumn.
