Lotus Bamboo is a new form of Dracaena well suited for indoor growing. Leaves are tightly spaces and plants are very slow growing. Heads will form to 15cm across, lower leaves can be removed to change the effect and stems can be cut down to encourage new shoots. These are best kept indoors as they will not survive outside in colder climates and must be well protected in winter months.
Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums where potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings. Keep in some direct sunlight or provide artificial light. Avoid heaters and draughty positions. Fertiliser should be only used if you would like the plant to grow. Lack of fertiliser will keep plants shorter and more compact.
