Aloysia triphylla
A perennial shrub with a lemony aroma and flavour. Requires a sunny, most well drained position. In winter lemon verbena is dormant but will reappear in Spring. Grows to 1m.
Harvest regularly or prune to maintain fresh growth and shape.
Used to add a lemony flavour to meats, vegetable marinades, jams, desserts, ice-cream, sorbet and herbal teas.
Position: Full sun.
